British Marine Federation - The Trade Association for the Boating Industry - The British Marine Federation (BMF) is the trade association for the UK's boating industry. Its primary role is to promote and protect the industry. The BMF's 1,500 members come from all sectors of the UK marine industry from boat builders to marina operators and from hire boat operators to specialist equipment and clothing manufacturers. The BMF offers a range of services to help members build their businesses. These include services to assist members to operate their own businesses effectively, such as technical information and training courses, as well as industry promotions to widen the appeal of boating to increase the market for marine products and services. A subsidiary of the BMF, National Boat Shows Ltd, operates the UK's two major public boat shows - the London and Southampton Boat. Since 1998, all the BMF's activities and promotions aimed at promoting boating to the public, which includes the boat shows, have been headed by the Big Blue brand.

He is ex- Merchant Navy and when he wanted to find an old shipmate he quickly realised that there were no truly dedicated Worldwide Merchant Navy Sites. So he set out to build one. And here it is for your use. The aim of the site is: 1.) To build a database of past and present vessel’s names from around the world, the database so far contains over 300,000 vessel’s names and must be the biggest non-corporate one in the world. 2.) To have a facility which allows mariners past and present to leave their details against vessels of their choice and for a small fee to send e-mails to fellow mariners. 3.) To design a website with pages suitable for mariners And to allow them to contribute to the website. 4.) To build up a genealogical database of vessels.

Marina Recreation Association - The Marina Recreation Association was created more than thirty years ago by a group of marina operators that recognized the importance of a broad-based, forward-thinking group of operators. It was originally organized to provide a presence at the state legislative level to influence legislation and to introduce legislation that would enhance and protect the marina industry and the boaters that it serves. MRA continues to understand that important mission but it has also expanded to fill a much broader roll. MRA now provides significant educational programs for the marina owner and training opportunities for their management staff. Annually the MRA Educational Conference is held in various locations, rotating from Southern California to Northern California making training and networking convenient and affordable for everyone. The relationships created at these conferences continues to pay dividends throughout the years as these colleagues can be called on to assist with problems as they occur.

Marine Industries Association of South Florida - The MIASF is a not-for-profit leadership organization created to promote and protect the sound growth of the marine industry in south Florida for the benefit and education of its members, the community and the environment.
